Moving towards the endemic stage of Covid-19 under a “controlled transition” sooner rather than later would be the “safest” strategy for Hong Kong, according to public health experts from the University of Hong Kong (HKU).The latest recommendations from the HKU team, led by its medical dean and government pandemic adviser Professor Gabriel Leung, also estimated that about 4.4 million people in Hong Kong had been infected by Covid-19 by March 20.The team predicted about 4.5 million residents…
