A man axed his wife to death over a domestic dispute.
Police registered a case after handing over the body of the deceased to her heirs after taking necessary action.
Sonia Bibi, sister of Shehzad Ahmed, a resident of Chak No. 109 GB, Jaranwala, was injured by her husband Irfan by striking her with an axe over a domestic dispute.
She was rushed to the Civil Hospital where she died.
After the autopsy, the police handed over the body to her family and registered a case against Irfan on the statement of Shehzad under Section 302 TPP and started raids for his arrest.

On July 14, a 35-year-old woman named Rani Bibi was found murdered in the fields in Shera Kot. She was reportedly stabbed to death. Later, it transpired her husband had murdered her with the help of accomplices.
On July 12, a woman named Naseem Bibi was murdered in Shadbagh. On July 11, a model named Nayab Nadeem was found murdered in her flat in Defence.
