A road and a ‘Janaza gah’ in Awanabad, union council Tajak were inaugurated on Saturday. Both the projects were completed at a cost of Rs8 million.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam was present at the inauguration ceremony, along with other local leaders from the ruling party, said the PTI was working for the welfare of the common man, but said that the coronavirus pandemic fueled inflation, and destroyed the economic condition of the entire world.

He said that there was an enormous gap between demand and supply of essential items but under the current situation; the government was trying to improve the economic condition of the people.

Speaking about public welfare projects, Aslam said that over 45 filtration plants had been installed in the area, so that the public could get clean water. The drainage problem in the area was also being solved, he added.

Steps were being taken to meet the grave problem of the dearth of teachers at Shuja Khanzada Shaheed College Hazro, he said, adding that work on the water supply of the area was also underway, which would cost more than Rs20 million.
