Two Punjab University students have been booked for attempting sexual assault and making a video of the entire ordeal after stripping and blackmailing their classmate.
The suspects, identified as Awais and Andleeb, allegedly abducted a girl from Campus Bridge near the university, the victim’s brother Z* said.
“They [suspects] shifted my sister against her will to an unidentified location where they attempted sexual assault and also made a video,” the brother said in his complaint to the local police.
He also said that the incident occurred a month ago but the suspects were now harassing his sister by blackmailing her with the video to develop sexual relations with them. When she resisted, the victim’s brother added, the suspects were intimidating her that they will share the video online.
“Frustrated and unable to sustain the pressure, she shared the ordeal with the family,” he added.
On his complaint, Muslim Town police registered a case against the suspects under sections 511 (attempt to sexual assault), 376 (rape), 365 (abduction) and other offences as mentioned in Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
