Last month vivo launched its first phone with a 6,000 mAh battery – the Y55s 5G and now a similarly spec’d device made its way to Taiwan albeit with a slightly smaller 5,000mAh cell. vivo Y55 5G packs the same 6.58-inch punch hole LCD with FHD+ resolution like its “s” sibling and an 8MP selfie cam.
Around the back, the phone brings a 50MP primary shooter alongside two 2MP modules for macro shots and depth data. MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 sits at the helm alongside 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The software side is covered by Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 11 and the 5,000 mAh battery charges via USB-C at 18W speeds.
Vivo Y55 5G comes in black and blue colors and is listed at NTD 7,990 ($290). International availability was not yet detailed.
